King Naresuen The Great

From the reign of King Chai Rajathiraj to the reign of King Naresuen The Great
In Chula Era 908 ( A.D. 1546 ), the year of the horse, the sixth month, King Chai Rajathiraj died and his son Prince Yodfah ascended the throne of Ayutthaya. There occurred an earthquake in this year.
In 910 ( A.D. 1548 ), the year of the Monkey, on saturday, the fifth day of the waxing moon of the fifth month, His Majesty the king witnessed an elephant fight. On this occasion, Phraya Fai's tusk broke into three pieces. Two day later, Phra Chatthan the royal mount kept trumpeting, sounding like a conch being blown.
Besides, Phaichayon Gate gave out an ominous sound. On Sunday, the fifth day of the waxing moon of the eighth month, King Yodfah was put to death and Khun Chinnaraj ascended the throne. Forty-two days later Khun Chinnaraj and Lady Sisudachan ( King Yodfah's mother ) were put to assume the thone and was given the name Somdet Phra Maha Cakkraphat. After he had reigned for seven months, King Pangsewaki of Hongsawadi led an army to Ayutthaya in the fourth month. King Maha Cakkraphat went to war, accompanied by the Hongsawadi army, the front line retreated into the main line causing great confusion. The Queen and her daughter fouht with the enemies and lost their live on elephants' back. In this was, Somdet Phra Maha Dhammaraja and Prince Ramesuan were taken hostage. Two royal elephants, Phraya Prap and Phraya Nuparp, were sent to the King of Hongsawadi at Khamphaeng Phet. The two princes were returned to Ayutthaya.
